Demonstrations in Saudi Arabia

In the afternoon of April 04, 2002, a demonstration took place in Safwa city, Dammam province, Saudi Arabia. 

A total of 1500 demonstrators "men and women" marched the streets of the city 
raising up Palestinian flags and Saudi flags and shouted "Death to Israel". Safwa residents are from the Shia'a Muslims. 

After the demonstration was over at 5:30 pm, people observed 3 buses of emergency forces arriving to the city. The security personnel in Safwa believes that more demonstrations will take place on Friday after the prayer. 

Prince Nayef Bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, has previously stated that the government will not tolerate any demonstrations in the kingdom !
